That is a brilliant result. A draw would probably have been fair but it was us who nicked it with yet another injury time goal. It has been a theme all season and now they are winners rather than equalisers.

We all felt low after the shambles at Burton. After that, six points against Huddersfield and Cardiff was better than we could ever have hoped.

The four league fixtures in November will refine our thoughts even more. Feels like we are gradually building and slowly improving as the season moves along.

Great result, yet another lovely finish late on. He's a magician at this level.

I'm almost more pleased with the defence - barring one free header in the first half, Cardiff didnt really ever look like scoring. Well done lads, back to back wins, what a week!

Thought George Johnston entered beast mode today.

And Toal would have had Usain bolt on toast at one point in the 1st half. Great to see. Someone above said defence won us the game, agree, with a sprinkling of sexy dust from ACD

When was the last time the same player scored last minute, injury time winners in back to back games?

Morley away at Exeter 3 days apart for 2 differnt clubs.

2 decent teams out there today. Top of the league and no sot. I've said in the past that I'm waiting for a good team to have a go at our defence, because we can look weak defending. Only.sign of that today was their header in the 1st half that was a lapse.

Good 7/10 performances all round. We closed down well and got some good tackles in. Simons in particular.

ACD superb and we'll do well to keep him for the whole season.

Defensive game all over it... it was going to take a free kick or touch of brilliance to get the 1 nil for either side.

Bloody good defensive performance for a change and we got the goal.

Small point i know after such an important win and great winning goal. But what's going on with the south stand away allocation. Seems wev'e done away with any home support in there. Re-today and Bradford. Why were Cardiff not given top tier and addiontal space in the lower tier.

That’s a promotion team’s result.

Agree with what a lot of others have said - they were the best team we’ve faced, but too often took the slow option and let us off the hook.

Looked for all the world like a 0-0 and ACD didn’t have his best game but fuck me, he’s a match winner. To still have the gas after all the running to produce that in the 94th minute is amazing. If he stays, and stays fit, then he gets us promoted.

Special mention to some players that I’ve not been the biggest fan of recently.

Cogley had his best game in a long time, really impressed and like the Cogley of a year ago. Couple of loose passes but he’s was otherwise very very good, especially defensively.

Toal and GJ. I saw their 2 big lads up top and worried for us. They didn’t find it easy dealing with long balls but defended brilliantly - always in the right place and didn’t give the strikers a sniff. Fair play, I wanted Forino in there but you can’t fault them on today’s performance.

Man of the match for me though was Sheehan. Best performance of the season, bossed the midfield, didn’t put a foot wrong, great defensive positions but also really good getting us going forward. Maybe it was the Welsh thing but he was top drawer.

Those 2 results will be the ones we point to when we get promoted. Huge character and finally we have a team that win the big games!

Happy Saturday

Just got back, not read everyone’s posts

1 Cardiff big strong and organised , in many ways best team we have played this year , but lacked any real ‘sparkle’. Reminded me of us, man for man very good but not really a team.

2 What a goal, totally changed the mood

3 Really pisses me of the stick JDC gets. At one point won ball in our half, good ball up front, gets the ball back, puts in a poor cross, it is like we have just released an asylum seeker by us people losing their shit. JDC wins the ball back, gives it ADC, puts in a poor cross, ‘unlucky lad keep going…Cogley get back and cover’.

Very enjoyable day, no traffic on way over so went the Carrs shop and tried the chilli beef option, very nice.

Agree Ani re. Cogley.

We seem to need a bogey-man & he's ours for now. He is an extremely capable player who rarely let's us down but seems to be responsible for World hunger according to too many fans.

Great result. Thought Cardiff pressed us quite well and had quite a lot of possession but offered hardly anything up front. Don't remember them having a shot on target.

We battled well and never gave up. Defensively we were very good today and when you've got a player like ACD on the pitch you never know what can happen. Great goal.

Come On You Whites!!!

What a result, absolutely buzzing.

Best team we’ve played this season, but they didn’t really create too many chances for all the possession that they had.

To be 3 off the top with all those draws and burton/northampton losses is fantastic.

Great result, the team who wanted it more in the 2nd half got the rewards.

Clever from Schuey to tweak things at half time, Duberry went more central when on the ball & we took control. Evatt would’ve carried on the same way.

Sheehan was great but thought that was a perfect game for a fit Erhahon.

That’s a statement win for me……

That's the sort of subtlety and nous that any successful manager has.

I've sometimes questioned SS about this, but fair play if he made that tactical change.

Still relatively young, and gaining experience. Good on him.

What a goal, what a finish, pandemonium. Was a one goal game all over and we got it.

Cardiff may well have been the best team we've played in terms of technical quality but I'd play them every week over the likes of Stockport, Bradford, even Burton and their ilk, their way of playing suited us, they slowed it down too much and gave us chances of turnovers.

Praise for our defending today, if we'd let one in it'd have been a frustrating afternoon, we didn't and gave ourselves the chance of our star man pulling a rabbit out of the hat.

Within that defence, credit where its due, JDC was really good, did his defending well enough and tag teamed with ACD to get the ball off them and get us moving, made lots of unselfish runs.

That was the sort of win I hoped we'd see in the SS era

Fuck me, that was late coming, but what a beauty!
Excellent team, Cardiff, but we defended as a team.

Special mention for Sheehan - not sure whether or not it was we were playing his compatriots, but he did everything I’ve criticised him for not doing in the past, including getting his foot in without giving away daft free kicks. Played really well.

We all see it differently, just for balance I thought that was Sheehan's worst home game for ages.  He wins those types of challenges in most games, that's what he does, he rarely gets credit for it.  Got his customary yellow for a late challenge to stop them breaking 90th minute.

But in possession, well below his usual standard at home.  Corners were poor, didn't impose himself on the game in terms of keeping possession and getting us on the front foot.  I was hoping Morley would be on sooner than he was, as Simons was poor in possession too.

It all turned out great in the end, so who cares, but our midfield can be miles better than that.

Mental how people can see it so differently. Corners I agree with, he’s just not very good at them, but on the ball he was brilliant IMO.

Funny old game
