Farnywhite Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I wouldn’t risk Kenny tonight if he is fit on the bench then start on Saturday think two games in a week might fuck him up for play offs same with dubbery Quote

desperado Posted April 14 Author Posted April 14 Very attacking. Don’t think SS is sending them out there to take a cautious approach Quote

Even me, who is rarely critical of players and managers selection of players, is a bit perplexed by this one. Even SS had come out and indicated he isn’t playing well! For balance there has to be some sensible rationale behind it. Cissoko not 100%, Getting Gale and ACD back for a left/right balance and/or he’s seeing something in training that we aren’t on match days. Quote

I often think mangers are in a tough spot when it comes to players being out of form. You either drop the player and risk shattering confidence even more or you almost try and play the player back into form and confidence. I would suspect its the latter. Not that I have any idea whats going on in SS head lol. Quote
masi 51 Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) It seems he has settled for playing a back four with a winger/wingback at right back and a centre back at left back and only two in midfield two wingers despite one being woefully out of form..........Brave by SS, but i do not think he is helping himself by being so rigid.......Will know around half nine Edited April 14 by masi 51 Quote
Eddie Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Big risk on Gale. But. If the focus is on ACD again and he can find some space and play his way into form (he was at his best when ACD was main man), then you’ve got your 2 best wingers back available and firing for the play offs. I get the rationale, feels risky though. Quote

mickbrown Posted April 14 Posted April 14 A novel approach towards the centre midfield problem. Let’s just not have one. Quote
