Id say the cost of running far far outweighs any dough we've received in transfer fees.

Obviously we'd have been fucked without the youth set up in recent times. I mean overall.

Just playing devils advocate

You may well be right, but I see a youth set up as being part and parcel of the club as a whole.

Reaches out into the community and helps generate links.

Only using cast-offs might create a disconnect.

I remember a mate at primary school being involved with the town team and the club somehow- got to take his mates to Bromwich Street to watch training. I saw Whatmore with sweat pouring off him in pre-season practice and it stuck with me. Start of me becomming a fan.

Reading relegated

Huddersfield have done really well to turn it round.
Top 5 form over the last 10 games.

If we don't smash play offs then next season is looking interesting.

Relegated to League One

Reading

Blackpool

Wigan

Promoted to Championship

Plymouth

Ipswich

Barnsley/Sheff Weds/Derby/Peterborough

Usually one of the relegation teams will be in around play offs, probably Blackpool, but Reading & Wigan are both small clubs in a mess.

Ipswich and potentially Sheff Weds/Derby replacing them will make promotion easier for us next year imo.

They’re a Very good team

They are. As much as it pains me that a club like Brighton is in the Prem and we're not, they are a cracking watch.

That's how to do a beamback

Phone going mental since the early hours. Missus cracked the Galleano Amaretto open at 6am this morning our time!

Napoli will be a mental place to be for a week or so. There'll be deaths, missing persons generally, A&E overload with gunshot wounds and all manner of misadventure injuries.

Crackpots firing guns and pyrotechnics. There were even some daft bastards talking about finding a way to make Vesuvio erupt (as seen further back in this thread).

I love it over there but not sure I'd want to be there right now.

Myth that for me. Lived down south for 22 years, don't really meet a utd fan very much.

That’s because your beardy hipster mates claim to be ‘wall or Orient for street cred

Go to a sports pub on ‘istree derby day. Like rats

Defo. Them and Brentford showing moneyball has been a smart investment

Some of the players Brighton have picked up on the cheap (relatively) have turned out to be brilliant - no doubt the usual suspects will be sniffing round them in the summer, but it's more than that - De Zerbi looks like a top manager.

Play like that and they have to have an outside chance to oust Liverpool from the Europa slot - although they still have to play Arsenal, Newcastle and Villa away and City at home in a very congested fixture last.

Bloody Hell. Good job they aren't struggling.
