Oh well. At least I made the effort to make it, rather than just say it. Yes, it's not funny. But I tried. God damn it, at least I tried. I tried.

I directed Russ Abbott's Video, I was in the Guinness book of Records.

Changing the topic completely, I think I've discovered what prompted Bolty's diatribe against 'The Darling Buds of May' reboot t'other week...

Phillip Seymour Hoffman's old character 'Charlie' now refelects modern times...

And unlike that bumbling bespectacled 1990's milquetoast nincompoop, this lad 'tries before he buys'...

Thankfully he (Bolty) won't discover two blokes, one black form a couple on Strictly Come Dancing until it's screened 'Down Under' in 2026...

His brain would melt.

@Casino is it you who’s into new order/ joy division?

Lad I know is a DJ he’s done  few new wave/indie nights that I’ve been to, today he dropped me off a load of 7” singles most I’ve heard but came across a couple of bands I never heard of, one called The Sums supported New order and I had forgot about them but they were great.

@Zico @bolton_blondie you pair of slags might like this

Both bands have Peter Deary in AKA DIgsy from the digsy dinner tune off definitely maybe

Oooh i missed this. I like these too!

Came up to Manc to see them at Gorilla last month.

They're supporting Affleck's Palace (who aren't much cop and should stick to day job as Total Stone Roses tribute) at Manc Academy in January.  Definitely worth catching now.

I wish them well but is it any better than what, say Primal Scream were doing much better twenty, thirty years ago..?

A lot of these young guitar bands remind me of that fictional band in the (rubbish) film 'Spike Island'.

Maybe not, but they've nailed it better than their influences' first EPs. Longer gap to Rose's and Screamadelica than those had to Stones and Beatles so can't really moan about recycling

I've been subjected to XFM, sorry, Radio X again this afternoon, in a household where the clock is stopped firmly in 1997...

What I learnded.

Richard Ashcroft, who I thought had quit music to be a part-time Youth Club volunteer and full-time drug-taking pisscan, has fallen victim to the scourge of songwriters of a certain age - 'Everythingmustrhyme-itis'.

Whoever makes the ads for 'Newmaker Homes' should realise nobody under thirty ever says "buzzing" unless they're referring to bees, wasps or dodgy fluorescent lighting.

By tuning in you could win £1000 worth of stuff from Currys, whom I thought folded fifteen years ago. Next week's prize is a £500 HMV CD voucher and a year's free rental of a top range Videoplus+ VHS Video Recorder and 38" TV and stand from Granada.

They proudly proclaim 'Playing the best of British' before spinning a song that's more or less 'Debaser' by Pixies note for note with some Northern oik caterwauling over it.

They went a whole hour without playing any Oasis, they did however play a ditty by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in that time.

Some sad owd twat went watching a band called DMA's last night and as a result is nursing a hangover and is still wearing his pissdrenched Nautica hoody (from piss-pint chucking) and his pissdrenched Levi's Red Tab Bootcuts (from his incontinence).

Ooh, goody, Manic Street Preachers are playing now.

Bag o' shite.

Ride on tour next April. O2 Ritz amongst dates

Considered it. Sent the links to mates. Nobody booked it. I really wanted to go. But had enough of being “the one that always books the tickets”.

On a similar note. Mate has dropped out of going to see The Levellers on Fri 25th November in Manchester. Its a sellout. So I’ve a spare ticket for this now - if anyone fancies it.

What's the difference between a Levellers gig and an Extinction Rebellion protest?

Fuck all
