Guest Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Spoke to Davies on promotion day last season he seemed very withdrawn he’s a quiet lad I think. I felt sorry for him genuinely seemed to not know where the fook his career was going. I wished him well.m Whilst feeling sorry for the lad, I have a sense of where his career is heading I wish him well Quote
kent_white Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Those deals are mythical. I wanna get mythical, mythical. I wanna get mythical - let me hear your body talk. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 hang him now Finally, some sense. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Nah, it'd be nice to see him play again... Somewhere else though. Quote
jturner Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Turning down £5 million from Swansea City for Mark Davies is the worst decision of that type ever made by Bolton Wanderers in my opinion. Quote
jturner Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 In the summer we had been relegated from the Premier League, there was a wild optimism at the club that the injury prone Mark Davies was the man to pin our hopes on.Crazy Quote
gonzo Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Turning down £5 million from Swansea City for Mark Davies is the worst decision of that type ever made by Bolton Wanderers in my opinion. We made up for it in a small way by stealing £2 and a bit million for that gangly piece of shit n'gog. Quote
radcliffe white Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Yes we rejected 4 million, Swansea wanted a replacement for joe Allen Quote
Rizlar Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I struggle to see any club offer him a contract hes made of glass best he could expect is pay as you play. Quote
jturner Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 We made up for it in a small way by stealing £2 and a bit million for that gangly piece of shit n'gog. And the following summer managed to save some cash by getting Marcus Alonso off the wage bill on a free.. Quote
bolton va va Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 And the following summer managed to save some cash by getting Marcus Alonso off the wage bill on a free.. Wasn't Alonso offered a new contract but unaccountably chose to join Florentina instead ? Quote
kent_white Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) Wasn't Alonso offered a new contract but unaccountably chose to join Florentina instead ? Yes but look at what's happened to his career. I bet rues that silly career decision every day. Edited November 8, 2017 by kent_white Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Perhaps he could become an agent; there'll be a vacancy in that market shortly. Quote
Zico Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Turning down £5 million from Swansea City for Mark Davies is the worst decision of that type ever made by Bolton Wanderers in my opinion. Coyle once boasted of knocking back 17M plus a player from City for Gary Cahill, if true, that one wins Quote
jturner Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Coyle once boasted of knocking back 17M plus a player from City for Gary Cahill, if true, that one wins If that's true it wasn't public knowledge like the Mark Davies offer was. And to be honest, I think Eddie, Phil, Coylie and all 20,000 of our fans would have driven him to Openshaw or whatever suburb it is for a £17 million fee Quote
Casino Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 id say it was more 'public knowledge' in that any bid for mark davies would be guesswork on the part of any journo re cahill, dickhead says we turned it down, which is much more donkeys mouth than mark lies though id noit trust him to pull his socks up to his knees by himself Quote
Marc505 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 We made up for it in a small way by stealing £2 and a bit million for that gangly piece of shit n'gog. One day the truth about that nonsensical deal will come out, it has to. Quote
DazBob Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 And the following summer managed to save some cash by getting Marcus Alonso off the wage bill on a free.. Should've made him sign one and then sell him to Fiorentina. Quote
Traf Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Should've made him sign one and then sell him to Fiorentina. is the correct answer, followed by forcing Fiorentina to loan him back to us whilst they paid his wages. Quote
Farrelli Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 is the correct answer, followed by forcing Fiorentina to loan him back to us whilst they paid his wages. Correct and they should have been forced to take Tyrone Mears as part of the deal to replace Alonso in their team with immediate effect. Quote
Sweep Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 And the following summer managed to save some cash by getting Marcus Alonso off the wage bill on a free.. Should we have made him stay? Quote
Carlos Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 And the following summer managed to save some cash by getting Marcus Alonso off the wage bill on a free.. Join the club, bye. Had enough of miserable fuckers kicking the club. Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Barely anyone wanted Alonso to stay, was the boo boy of that era, despite being about 20yo. Quote
