Mannyroader Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Safe to say Salford are loaded and I fancy them to waltz through L2 into L1. Let's hope we are still in L1 and get to play them there. Vela, Beevers, Little and any others who have joined another club may end up regretting it at the end of the week. Act in haste, repent at leisure. Quote

And playing a league game against those pink no marks is my idea of hell. Quote
Clarence Carter Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Craig Noone has joined Melbourne City. Quote

snowball Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Good. Another one moved on. What six are contracted? 2 keepers, Oz, JMc and who else? Wheats? &? Quote
Wanderlust Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Whoever buys this club is going to have to assemble a team from scratch which is why I'm disappointed the Chinese folk didn't get a bid in as they have access to players. It's nice to hear that well-meaning folk like Gudni have an interest in "saving us" but realistically we need some serious money to cover purchase price plus team plus wages. I guess survival is the priority but I can envisage our next few years being a repetition of the Anderson mantras of "oh well they didn't have money to spend" and "at least they saved the club" rather than "things are improving and the future is bright" which a rich owner might bring us. Whatever the outcome, I hope the new owners bring us something to be hopeful about rather than just existence in a world of eternal austerity. We'll see. Quote

radcliffe white Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Please tell me we aren’t stuck with that clown Buckley, he would struggle in non league Quote
Traf Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I'd take Noone all day ahead of Buckley. At least Noone made some kind of effort. Quote
marple whites Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 It's just the lack of bodies I am getting a bit concerned about - as we really are looking like we are going to need to start from scratch !! Quote

The more we have to replace, the better for me. Last years crop are scarred by the events off the field and would take some turning round to gain their trust again. But more importantly - they were largely shite too Quote

Think we have Alnwick, Matthews, Lowe, Murphy, Oztumer, Magennis & Hall. Not sure about academy players. Quote

His absence from the matchday squad for the last few months because he "didn't feel up to playing" is a disgrace. Quote
Blondi Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Not fussed about Alnwick either, anyway Josh Magennis could be off too. https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/scottish/rangers/rangers-in-talks-over-swoop-for-northern-ireland-striker-josh-magennis-38201766.html Quote
Farrelli Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I'm expecting Murphy and Lowe to be the only two senior contracted players we will retain. Possibly a new deal for Wheater. Quote
bwfc2003 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Will players have been paid by administator at end of May ? Quote

Some harsh comments about him above, he's a great pro and has been quoted as saying he's no intention of going anywhere and wants to help the club rebuild. If he's the type of player we want to get shut of God knows who better we're gonna get in our position. Quote
