He's not on a free is he? A years wages will be at least 250k and then when he's done fuck all you have to try to get that back in a transfer with his value on a downward trend. Bad business for me.

I dont get how he isnt free if he put his notice in.  But if we negotiated a fee somehow, it will be minimal.  If Hull go down its probably a good signing for next year, a Div 1 team would pay £250k for him, he's not absolutely useless like a Wilkinson, but Hull must have no ambition for this season.

If you’re following the advice of 400 nutritionists you’re going to be a fat cunt.

Don't want to turn this thread political by any means - but just a thought and this seemed the best place to put it.

The NHS has just received a 1.8 billion pound one off payment to try and patch it up.

The Premier League has just spent 1.4 billion pounds on new players in the transfer window.

Crazy when you look at the situation we find ourselves in. The figures are so huge now that it almost seems meaningless. It's hard to get your head around that much money.

Aye, it's bollocks.

In fairness, some of the money is the same, just being moved around from club to club.

Still a hell of a lot of money coming in though, and plenty going out.

random one, but was talking to an ex pro the other day (not one you've every heard of) who is mates with "Ricks" and was telling me he's now an agent with Troy Deeney as a client, amongst others

Jesse Lingard too.

The irony of Ricketts being an agent, given that his career was effectively ruined by one is quite something.

There's a certain irony about your last sentence when you think about it,!!!

My local football team Eastwood Town went under 5 years ago for a mere £165,000, a decent Premier League player's weekly wage.

Surprise surprise - Wigan have signed yet another with a Bolton connection, young keeper James Aspinall.

2 Highly rated keepers gone for less than a packet peanuts this summer. What a shambles

Who is James Aspinall and was he any good ?

Wish him and Turner all the best, but neither made much impact here.  We’ve seen the future and he’s 17yrs old and already has one league game under his belt.

Pie Eaters take our cast offs - Jussi, Bogdan, Aspinall  & Al-habsi

Not particularly when I saw him play for Glossop against Atherton Colls

Glossop goalkeeper James Aspinall, on a work experience loan from Bolton Wanderers, claimed a Glenn Matthews free kick and looked to spark a home counter attack, but on trying to throw the ball to his midfield, the alert Vinny Bailey snaffled the loose ball, took one touch and picked his spot from thirty yards out, sailing the ball over Aspinall’s head and in to the net”

Rate Aspinall and disappointed that he has gone.
