Problem is they're rotten to the core and have been for quite some time.

When they were fumbling around for Boris’s replacement they were hardly crushed by an avalanche of potential PMs were they?

It was very much a case of ‘who is least shit’ and they’ve got that wrong as well.

The problem is, if you aren’t a Tory Elite with your private education and Oxbridge degree then you aren’t going to be looked at.

I know some of our posters are Conservative voters, and plan to be at the next election.

I'm just curious - apart from not letting Labour (or anyone else take charge) - what is it about this party that makes you feel like they deserve another term?

Presumably you must be looking at their record in office and reckoning that, on balance, it's been pretty good? And you must have some faith that things are going to get even better?

I'm not taking the piss here, I'm just genuinely curious.

They'll just vote Tory because they always have

Whilst criticising labour voters for voting labour because they always have

Yep, too many (from both sides) will ALWAYS vote the same way, regardless ... as if it's their football team.

I think only Bolty and Diver are the ones left that would pin their blue flag to the mast regardless.

Bolty doesn’t count because he abandoned ship, and I think Diver has run out of any arguments to defend them and taken his ball home.

There are grown men in their 50’s, wearing Dryrobes and crocs whilst driving convertibles around retail parks who would still vote Tory even if Sunak spent several hours a day kicking Labrador puppies face first into a jet engine. It’s all about image, they feel untouchable because they have £250k mortgages.

Bolty has said several times that he'd vote for the Reform UK company.

It’s embarrassing, like seeing people post on here about “winning” and “losing” the Brexit referendum. It was a decision about our country’s future, not the Old Firm derby.

Like i say

he abandoned ship, so it’s irrelevant anyway.

On this they do probably do have a defence IMO. The implication is that they live in their flat while doing MP work. He has a mortgage on that place so is it fair that he has to pay a mortgage while doing his job, away from his home constituency?

That said £3200 pm for a place at taxpayers expense seems steep even by London standards.

I think the government should own 600 one bed flats near parliament and completely eradicate this issue.

Have often thought this would cause issues, and having flats nearby would eliminate a lot of them.

Travel back to your constituency and home each weekend etc.

Fairly certain our local MP has no idea what Bolton looks like.

Ignore the halfwits. Sometimes it is about voting for the least worst. There is your answer.

Never, ever put power in the hands of socialists if you can avoid it. Aspiration killers and border vandals.

I always thought we missed a trick not doing this with the Olympic Village after 2012.

A former Bolton MP I knew of, made an absolute killing with the accommodation they had down there. Subsidised by the taxpayer while they were in office then sold it for an eye-watering amount once they left and trousered the profit. Like most of them do.

Starmer has killed his own aspirations to such a degree that he’s a millionaire

I used to think it was just his age and the fact he lives isolated from the rest of the world.

Now I just think he's numb as fuck.

If that's the case though - wouldn't it make sense to vote for the Tories again, tactically thinking I mean? I can't see Reform UK having the clout to keep Labour out.

Mind you - I've been wrong plenty of times before! 🤣

Even Bolty has deserted them, but he's lurched even further to the right, and reckons he'd vote Reform

Are we not at record highs of illegal immigration?

After 14 years of non border wrecker government? :)
