Wolves last year was pretty bad. Our annual defeats at home to Bury used to piss me off greatly too
radcliffe white
Been a few thinking back Bury wasn’t nice 2-4 & 1-3 Chelsea ripped us 1-5 could of been 10 didnt Crewe do us 3 or 4-1 in the Watford play off season

Marc505
Of the ones I've been to, the Coventry 5-1 was bad. Was still quite wet behind the ears and to see our new space age ground so empty long before the end was horrible. Those defeats under Coyle to Chelsea and United where they were just repeatedly strolling through at will, including Phil Jones FFS. The 0-6 to United though, that was pain that lasted a generation. Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted December 23, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted December 23, 2018 1. Aldershot game relegating us to bottom tier. Fucking crushed me that game. 2. Black Sunday. 3. The 1-4 v Bury when McGinley and Lee turned us over (long since forgiven)

kent_white
I know they were a class side - but Nat's send off and the way we capitulated will always be like a knife in my gut.

leigh white
Losing at home to Swansea 1-4 was a reality check in 1980 after relegation the season before.

Remember walking out after the match and an old mate, who i had not seen for years, spotted me and shouted my name. I looked up and threw him the Vs and carried on walking. Like a good tourettes sufferer i was randomly shouting out "fuck off" and "twats" for days afterwards. I was not pleasant to be around. gonzo
Nothing comes close for me. Ruined a good portion of my childhood and shattered every dream I ever had. Any imaginary game I played down the side of my house involved finally getting the chance to play and beat them in front of a packed burnden. Sometime Wembley too obviously All came crashing down that day. Cried during the game, cried myself to sleep then got sent home from school the next day for windmilling in on some kid twice my size in the year above for taking the piss out of my bolton scarf. He bust my nose in to a pulp and Mr Carr the maths teacher drove me home in his car. Blackburn 4-1 was a killer but nothing comes near that awful day. Roger_Dubuis
black Sunday took months to get over, at the time I would rather have lost to Reading. If someone had said " Don't worry son, Bolton will be promoted next season and will win 2 and draw one of their next 3 league matches at Old Trafford" i'd have thought they were puddled
