What emotions in those few seconds.

Stuff to blow your mind.

Super scenes too.

Made all the better by the player who takes a blatant dive for the pen, then misses it leading to the goal that knocks them out in the last minute

I like Deeney, heard interviews with him in the past, one in particular with Louis Theroux

done well for himself off the back of a tough upbringing

perfect captain material

not management though

I doubt he even planned on being a manager, he signed for them as a player-coach and got the gig when they sacked the manager

might yet make a decent coach

but clearly not cut out for man-management

Sure, but it was obvious from the start his appointment was going to be a shitshow

His last three appointments have been two big names and a woman. A cynical person could argue it's just to raise publicity for Dale Vince Rovers

Reading other forums most sensible FGR fans want the vegan messiah gone.

Vegan bloke was on talksport earlier, said Deeney getting a 4 game touchline ban for abusive behaviour in a recent game had an impact on the decision

Well it would. If the club thrives on tree-hugging, airy-fairy, veg-munching self-righteousness then having a wannabe hard bastard at the helm was perhaps an oversight.

I saw Troy Deeney get zero in his chosen specialised subject round on Celebrity Mastermind recently. I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shed 😁

What was his specialist subject “How to motivate footballers?”

Random one but saw #BealeOut trending among Sunderland supporters. Lots of anger about him from them which seems a bit mad considering he got appointed only on 18th December 2023.

Weird career, was doing very well with QPR and got approached by Wolves. Turned them down and put out a load of waffle about loyalty in football leading to QPR fans rejoicing. Then a month later left and went to Rangers.

Now at Sunderland and seems to have already pissed off a lot of fans within a month.

Read this lot.

They're 3 points off a playoff position, climbing after several years in the 3rd Division & it's about 2 years since we beat them 6-0.

I'm old enough to have seen many decades of entitled, over expectant, Mackem's but they take the biscuit.

Work with a Sunderland fan who already wants him gone. He strikes me as a bloke who does good presentations and probably has some good ideas but not a manager. Think he may have interviewed for us at some point
