Apparently just less than 1,500 seats available from the current seat map.

Guy in ticket office about 1pm said 23k sold including 3.5k Wigan. Sounds relatively huge but suppose it’s only 4K tickets bought on top of STs, only 1k more than v Lincoln so fat.

Presume it would be more if they weren’t £32. But should get to 25k and a proper big match feel. Can’t wait...for 2.30pm as long as we’ve won. Either an ecstatic Saturday or a shit one, not much in between unless a draw involves equalising late.

The first three have all been in the 1st bracket though, I'll take 43 though.

Not before the games, they weren’t, everyone would have settled for 1-0 wins and especially at Cheltenham where we lost last year. What I would say is victory will feel far more significant this week than any of the others. Huge game psychologically.

Maybe I'm mathematically challenged but the stadium capacity is 28,700 and if there are 23k sold how can there only be 1500 seats left?

Wigan haven’t sold out plus we can’t sell 28.700 because of segregation

I also think we’ll see more available seats magically appear tomorrow.  Happened in a few games last season when they released restricted view seats (eg around stairwells) once others were mostly sold.

I'm glad we're rinsing the c*nts for £32, just sorry we didn't charge em £40.

Any win will do but they've still got championship experience through their team and I'd take a point now.

Any win will do. Undeserved penalty in the 96th minute, hits both posts and then trickles over the line by a millimetre after hitting the goalkeepers arse.

Four wins to start our season will be good enough for me.

Has this got the Southend 2-5 deja vu written all over it ? Maybe thats why folk are nervous.

Gotta be Dan upfront with Vic , Ive not seen enough of Gomes to warrant a start in this type of game .

Their back 6 dont look like much but their front 4 look decent , think we will miss a calm rolls royce in Lee . Sheehan , Morley and Dempsey to start , George will be too hyped up to startand is a walking red card . If the 2 wing backs are bang on it we will win but Ive just been sacked on champ man 01/02 so wtf do I know.

Given we have sold 4K tickets to non season ticket holders and they have sold under that. We are actually rinsing more of our fans.

Lemme guess Cowdrilly, they quote the name of the poster they're replying to at the start of every message?

We're rebuilding our club and we need the money so this "segregation" thing is costing us.

Sell the seats and invest in some razor wire and an electric fence FFS.

I think the ticket price makes up for anything we might lose through segregation Lusty but if we keep pulling in 20k plus gates I should think the owners would be very happy. I just hope it inspires our players and doesn’t inhibit them at all because we need to shaft these shysters and send them home sobbing.

Surely "segregation seats" would only be a couple hundred at most ?

The netting is around 6 seats wide and 24 rows plus any seats between net and ESL fence so I’d go 300 seats in SSL and same in WSL.

Not a derby to “some” of their fans Sid but not the majority I assure you. I take it that you’ve been looking at Wanderers Ways which is arguably the biggest Wanderers fan site but run by a small group of ultras who aren’t in any way representative of most Wanderers fans. I’m 71 and have been a trotters fan for over 60 years and I definitely consider Wigan a serious club and derby rival. What you’ve done over a relatively small period of time in football terms has been exceptional, PL, FA Cup, Europe, how can you not be a serious club so ignore the tinpot jibes and just see it as envy from very much a minority. I’m not trying to patronise here because I want and hope that Wanderers win convincingly on Saturday but I just want you to know that not all Wanderers fans consider you any less than our other local rivalries with Rovers and North End. I’m proud of my club, you’re proud of yours and that’s exactly how it should be.

Has to be one of the best lines ever written about us, on another fans forum 🤣
