Those are just your opinions. You haven't learned anything tonight. You just can't cope with losing.

Your right, i didn't learn those things tonight,

I already knew them.

Also, we can't keep relying on outscoring team, it is purely unsustainable for a promotion chasing side.

54 goals we have conceded already, teams in 4th and 5th for example have conceded 31 and 34.

19th best defence in the league overall.

It's a massive problem that needs sorting as I fear we can't keep up trying to score 2/3/4 to win a game

I thought we’d be leggy tonight especially the front two they’ve ran themselves into the ground recently & we ain’t got another striker capable of coming in without significant drop off. Too many shite performances tonight Murphy, Gethin, Sheehan, Thomason, Schon, Collins way off it. No impact what so ever from the subs, massive missed chance on making ground up but then again luckily no teams below us playing tonight to go ahead of us

I thought CMG played well, bright, energetic and progressive.  Might be an option further up front to give McAteer/Collins a breather, but whatever his position I'd be happy for him to have a bit more playing time.

So what have we learnt tonight then?

. Sheehan is too lightweight

. Tommo goes missing

.We don't know how to take a throw in

. Murphy will never play above 3rd div level

So nothing we didn't already know, we'll take our medicine & go again.

Schon is very average but can graft.

And Tutu shouldn't even be allowed in our half never mind defending

We are sixth, just had a shit result after a run that had us top of form league and beat the runaway league leaders .

People talk about how we have moved on post Evatt well show it by not wallowing in it.
Saturday now even bigger, win that and go again.

I thought we could lose 2 and get top 2

Thats a defeat that was probably due, though we couldve won

Seemed like collins had decided it was his show which isnt when hes at his best

Then he disappeared

Poss a game too many, really need to re group for a big push on saturday

Disappointing result.

Thought we were very sloppy 2nd half and 2nd to every loose ball. We did have a couple decent chances but overall can't really complain too much about the result.

Hopefully a better performance and result on Saturday.

A game to far for one or two tonight, but we are 6th. Maybe freshen things up Saturday. Metete for Thompson possibly

Looked knackered tonight.

Big push to beat Stockport then a much needed break.

We were going to lose at some point, better to get it out of the way ... and hopefully go again with a big winning run.

We looked like conceding more tonight than we have since SS took over. Didn't deserve to win but should never have lost it.

It's going to be the way till SS can manipulate the squad a bit and have more horses for courses in it. We've shown in patches we can keep good teams out but equally have let 2s and 3s in way too often against poor teams who make up in commitment for what they lack in talent

Very poor second half , we let them rattlle us, with their high ball, and moving to quickly to their front men. Did Collins actually touch the ball second half.  Only  Morley came out with any credit in midfield.

All day. He does not come off his line southwood. Get Baxter back in for me. He's too small southwood. Can't have a keeper who won't come and claim a ball in the 6 yard box.

I can only think the Southwood instead of Baxter thing is because Baxter is leaving in the summer, and maybe the difference in motivation/attitude comes across in training - fair enough if that's the case.  I'd expect us to have a different keeper next season either way, I've not got any problem with Southwood with his attitude and half decent shot stopping, but he isn't big enough and doesn't command his box.

Just never at it at all tonight, mistake after mistake all over the pitch right from the start. I can’t recall a match where so many were off it at the same time and I think we just have to hope it was one of those nights when nothing went right. The autos were always a bit optimistic but we’re still well set for the -lay offs so dust down, get ready for Saturday and get back on track.

Not sure that hasn't happened a few times lately in the 2nd half (or 1st half at Shrewsbury).

I thought the first half was a virtual copy of Burton, the big difference being the Murphy cock up.  By far the better team, wasted a few good chances, Morley scored a good goal (apparently!).  2nd half saw a significant deterioration both games (that's 3 away games running, including Wrexham).

Credit to the opposition too, all 3 teams have regrouped at H-T and upped their game in the 2nd half, as we did v Brum.  But I didn't think there were more mistakes tonight than in previous away games, we always have a spell where we can't get out of our half (and McAtee tries to defend!) and its usually in the 2nd half.

Bristol put on the best 2nd half performance against us since Stockport IMO.

They were better. We weren’t very good. Far too many mistakes. Bit of complacency creeping in after pulling a few rabbits out of the hat recently? Maybe it’s the kick up the arse we need to finish as high as possible

Be interesting to see what SS does now in terms of how he sets up and who he picks at the weekend
