If he gets us up, so be it.

A Championship BWFC is an easier sell as well as being able to recruit a better standard of manager if your in a higher division.

Try telling that to @green genie😀

Joking aside, this conversation reminds me of those from last January's transfer window that suggested not signing anyone that wasn't capable of playing in the championship, as that was clearly where we were heading 😒  Let's just concentrate on improving the present and the future will take care of itself.

Has anything actually happened today or is everything still speculation? Only just got in from work/gym after a long day and can’t be arsed reading the whole thread. TIA

Azitbindunyet? (I'm not expecting anything but felt it was time for a classic WWays response)

Fuckallbindunyet.

Possibly before weekend, can’t see them announcing anything today & risk interfering with JD’s prep for tonights game.

with a game tomorrow that JD is in charge of, and travelling down to Reading Friday, unless someone is announced and ready to go Weds morning then looks likely JD will be prepping for and maybe even taking charge Saturday as well

at least no midweek game next week, so if surely we have somone in and ready to go Sun/Mon they have a full week to go at it before their first game

We need the new man in tomorrow ideally to give him a bit of time in the transfer window.

As good as Saturday was, there's a few positions we need to strengthen if we want to make a proper go of it:

-hold up/strong striker who can head a ball and score a few goals. Gregory at Mansfield type springs to mind, but preferably younger. Vic was brought in on Saturday to do this and while he tried hard he's not good enough

-strong midfielder who can win a tackle. Huddersfield stood off us on Saturday or were happy to play Evatt style passing around at the back, but it doesn't hide the fact we often get overrun in midfield and need someone stronger/bigger in there as well

-some pace in attack. Winger/fast striker needed

I wonder if Fowler is coming in on the coaching staff as his odds tumble.

No idea on his coaching but has gone and worked all over which I think is a good trait.

Could get us a good link up with Liverpool too.

We need to appoint 3/4 coaches so could be conceivable. Actually quite like the idea as I type it out.

Save money on digs for new signings as well.

With the exception of a goalie, a full team then!
