We're not creating real chances and our possession stats are meaningless. We need to get the ball into the box this aint rocket science.

Thought Morley put in some cracking crosses today, nobody on the end of them though. Liked the prospect of playing two forwards, some good signs, would have taken a point before the match. Agree GJ looks a week link.

Toal seems to have lost a yard of pace

We lack pace at CH generally. Johnston and toal give their all but are regularly poorly positioned to chase back and aren't quite quick enough. We are often in disarray in defence and I dread playing a good attacking side.

Schueys given himself a problem making total captain though.

When fit it’d be forrester and Taylor for me. I thought cogley had another mare today. Conway looked really exposed second half, can’t fault the lad so far but looked off it. He would’ve been ideal last season with three at the back.

All this inverted wingers bollocks, sure to god schuey must be instructing them to do it. Hardly any crosses at all. Cissoko is even more frustrating, he beats his man and then does this weird cut back the other way and lets his man get back in position. Beat the man and cross the fucking ball, create some panic! That’s where opportunities come from. It’s all a bit too routine because everyone including the opposition know what’s coming.

Super John and derek highlighted one situation first half where they had three players on the edge of the box, neither of them covered the outside because it was obvious what was going to happen (ACD). He then invariably ran into traffic and gave it away.

Im not liking the amount of desperation so far across the 6 games going towards the end of the game, we’ve looked alright in possession but can’t seem to break teams down. I think we need a re-think on this system.

Toal, Johnston and Forino have all been found out for pace in the past few games in various situations.

The one issue is our left and right wings are out of kilter, on the left Conway is ripping it up but whoever in front of him isn't, and other way around on the right, ACD is but JDC or Tutu rarely seem be on the same wavelength.

That may be generally true, but Conway today kept going missing and left huge spaces in behind and JDC defended well.

With ACD, all he wants to do is cut in and shoot,  a number of times JDC and later Simons made the overlap but instead of a simple pass he chooses to come inside and inevitably loses the ball.

He is a good player, can be a real threat, but he needs better decision making at times.

Only bad game I saw today was Cissoko. Wouldn't knock anyone else, especially not Cogley.

Agreed, and he got rightly hooked at half time. Don't think anyone else was poor. Just not getting the rub of the green. Their goal today summed up the luck we are getting.

One thing about the sides at the top, they're consistent with who starts week in week out. How many different starting lineups have we played so far? Schumacher needs to get his best 11 sorted ASAP and get them playing consistently weekly, no point chopping and changing constantly, players won't get to know each other and their quirks on the field if they're not getting the reps together.

Yeah, you make some good points, but if we get both sides working well, it definitely gives us a point of difference than the wing back Evatt version

Just back & a bit disappointed with just a point, we played well but once again weren't clinical enough.

Cissoko didn't have a very good game & Gale wasn't much better, ACD was ACD, lively & a threat but regularly made the wrong decision & Morley isn't a no10 (if we're playing that system, Randall is the best choice )

Burstow & Sheehan played well & Simons was good when he came on......he must be carrying a knock or not starting him looks an odd decision !!

Never mind, the unbeaten run continues !!

I can see us going on a winning run and demolishing a couple of teams, just hope it's sooner rather than later

we should be on 12-15 points, it'll be reet come May when the promotion party starts

That's why our full backs get caught out a times.

If they're pushing on to provide width, and it breaks down, the wide fellas aren't the best at helping in terms of defending.

Not their fault, but that is the way we are playing.

Just so frustrating. Concede another soft unlucky/unusual goal whilst on top

Lots of effort and commitment but a spark (and maybe bit of luck) is not happening for us.

No need for Gale to be hanging about there , it was off side but do not think keeper saves it Gale was not there. Would like to see the challenge in first half when Sheehan went down in first half, if he dived why no second yellow ? Dalby and Burstow combined to win ball off centre half and ref somehow gives a penalty.

The wingers are especially frustrating and always cutting in reduces their effectiveness, but if the full backs over lapped more it would help. (And if the wingers occasionally used them)

The centre halves are a strange one. GJ became a better player 2 season ago when injured but alongside Toal they look good on the ball but vulnerable to any ball played behind them.

Blackpool are shit and the farcical policing that means away game have to walk round the block to walk past a pub with BPool idiots outside trying to get a reaction.

At least the fruit machine paid out

THey have won 50% of their games, and have a positive goal difference.

We've won 17% of our games, and conceded as many as we've scored.

I'd say thats agood argument to say they are currently better than us.

I think your stats take the viewpoint that winning is everything without acknowledging that a draw isn't as bad as a defeat, you don't include draws there.  But I accept your point about goal difference, that's also a decent indicator.

But I don't think Wimbledon are better than us based on losing as many as they've won - same as us - and hopefully we'll prove that next week.

A striker will definitely come in. But Burstow has 3 in 6 so we already have a 20 goal striker!

Let's partner him with Jamie Reid, we'd walk this league, he's a 38 goal striker 😀

We do, as we would with Dalby, but not with our set up and lack of the type of service they need.

Yet, with 3, maybe 4, wingers there is no reason to lack this service. Either they aren't doing as instructed or the manager isn't giving them that instruction.

Another 2 points dropped unfortunately and we won’t have a better chance of getting this Bloomfield road monkey off our back, they were utterly gash.

Was always the worry bringing in so many new players and expecting them to gel instantly. However the left wing position is a worry in this system as neither wingers are cutting it currently.

Lets hope we strengthen the squad tomorrow and also offload a few (McAtee, CMG, Big Dan, Schon, Johnston).

Agree just don’t understand it.

Everyone seems to have a good opinion on how we should play , SS had the team together for a week before this game to work on tactics and the opposition, he obviously doesn't know his job we can all do better! He brought the players in to work on his tactics and his formation. We are a league 1 outfit with players that are not going to go anywhere near top championship and are struggling with how he wants us to play, but I am sure it will happen, it's frustrating at the moment not winning ,whitch when we click we will all enjoy moving up the table!
