I'd love us to get Billy Sharp. He'd be perfect replacing Dion in the 65th minute and would get us plenty of goals

Would he thought Dave? He’s a Sheffield man at heart and I just don’t see him busting a gut at his age anywhere else. Super John never did when he left because his heart was always still here and I just feel Sharp might be the same. Interesting thought though all the same.

Not sure Jonesy , think hes had his day , not mobile enough for our way of playing .  think Ndulululu and Adabanjo are gonna be the ones for us.  Cant see us getting another striker .

Bet we sign a defender and 2 wingers, ill have a tanner on it

The interest in Baccus and Lee's departure tells me we're looking into buying an attacking mid.

Despite Thomason's decent pre season form and with MJ's departure I think we're after a defensive mid too.

Interest in Wilson suggests strengthening at RWB - probably an attacking RWB in the Bradley mould.

Those are the 3 positions I reckon we're focusing on, but the other two Evatt mentions we need? No idea - but it wouldn't surprise me if we get further departures if upgrades can be found.

I agree on the midfield additions Lusty but not on the need for another RWB where I think we’re now pretty well covered. Fact is we ain’t going to find another Bradley so let’s get someone who can do the same damage elsewhere, hopefully the No10 role where as you elude, losing Lee is a big hole to fill. I really can’t see the need for another five unless as you say some are leaving but who those might be I just don’t know. John, Sadlier possibly but I hope not as I like them both. Other than that unless there are offers for Rico, with Johnson now injured I can’t see anyone else unless you can?

Is a new offer to Lee out of the question ?

I’d hope so. It would suggest the plan isn’t good if we did.

Well it depends on who they can sign. Assuming that the incoming is an upgrade on what we have I guess the squad will have to be thinned out to accommodate them. Without knowing what players they are looking at, it's impossible to know, but I'm pretty certain that the midfield has to be more competitive and creative and produce more goals if we're going to compete at the top. And we could do with the strikers finding their scoring boots, but a better midfield would at least give them more chances to do it.

No pre season behind him and injury problems in the past . I think it wouldn’t be a good idea

If Lee can't manage to play because of fitness issues, then why offer him terms?

I thought he should have played more last year but he didn't because his body can't do it, so even if we still had him, at another year older he's not getting loads of game time.

Decent chap and wish him well, but the king is dead...

Christ this is boring.

Hoping the radio silence in terms of transfer gossip is a positive sign that we are keeping our dealings private rather than the hype that surrounded Baccus/Flick/Wilson.

Going to be a flurry of late activity if we’re expecting 4 or 5 by this week/next week…

Evatt has to keep quiet on potential targets otherwise Charlton, Derby and Wigan in that order will be linked with whoever is named by Bolton as a possible transfer interest.

Kioso was decent at L2 level for us, no idea if he's progressed or not?

Folk also tugging over the Ipswich lad Charlton have signed. Can't say i've heard of him. A bit of a crock by all accounts

Wigan won’t be fishing in our pond.

Anyone else not remember Kioso :D

I thought I did... and then realised I was thinking of Fossey.

I sicken myself.
