Good spot. He is very similar to Morley only shorter although he's probably a bit busier. I'm struggling to see the value in buying him unless we can get a lot of money for Morley and put Kite on a lower wage. But as players go there's not much difference between them in playing style, defensive attributes or goal contribution and I couldn't see Kite holding down a regular starting place with us unless we fail to get what we really need to progress.

Morley just bought some 800k gaff near lostock so would think he’s hanging around

I just don't know how I feel about this window so far. If the rumours are anything to go by - and that's a big if - there seems to be lots of fishing around going on behind the scenes but not much end product. Nobody seems to be moving on and a lot of the rumoured targets, Randall and Dan Armstrong aside, seem to be fairly low-budget including several players who are out of contract.

Maybe it's a good thing that we've heard nothing? Maybe the chat about the Nigerian lad from Hungary is a sign that we're casting a wide net? The moneyball algorithm must be working overtime. Maybe we need to move players on to afford the targets we really want?

Whatever is happening I hope we can get the business done sooner rather than later, if only to give signings time to settle in. But also to settle my nerves.

Be happy if Arfield's coming, bowt time we had a Scot in the team

If the quality of the national side is any guide, I’d rather us break our duck in Slovakian players or get some Danes back in!

Teams reluctant to let players go at this stage without replacements already in the building. We're not looking for freebies I imagine, so we'll have to be patient. Once the Prem clubs are back at work and the transfers from there start flowing down to the Championship, we'll start to see more clubs getting their targets over the line, or moving on quickly

Personally quite happy to just see them rolled out with shirt and scarf. And think, wasn’t expecting that and also not having a clue who they are.

makes for better viewing and keeps it interesting

... & the usual opportunities for loans too. So far no loans has even been mentioned.

Pleased with that. Got a good feeling about it.

Aye me too, feels like potentially a captain in all but armband.

Some decent goals in big games on that clip as well, suggests he won't be fazed by the prospect of facing Wigan away.
