Agree they will be fine

Wigan should be worried

Wigan will spend in Jan, and heard a rumour of Madine on loan to them too.

If Doidge as any chance of doing anything he has to keep starting, fact that PP has just come out and said he needs a striker in Jan, must be a reet confidence boost for current 3 forwards.

Great 3 points, hope we can get something against Stoke.

I’ve been pretty negative lately so credit where it’s due I enjoyed yesterday went with my Dad which is always a nice trip down memory lane and he’s a lucky charm.

Still convinced given the licence that team could play far better football.

Finally a win, great effort from the lads although Rotherham were dogshit. Thought O'Neil was mom he put in a right shift and kept his composure for the goal. Only downside this will probably keep parky in the job for another 15 games. Big test will come against Stoke will the dinosaur make another 5 changes or stick with the same team? Personally I'd stick

Doidge Donaldson

To be fair to Parky he made changes yesterday due to the height of their team and it was probably the right call. Not pretty but a win that keeps us in with a chance.

Let’s hope PP continues with 2 up top at home at least as we ain’t going to pick enough points up with 1 up top.

A great timely win but we really need to go on some sort of run now and we need to do play better than we did for the most part yesterday

Hopefully the confidence of a win will help us kick on, no reason now we cant get a couple of points at least from the next two games

The next 2 are tough games can’t see anything from Hull who seem to be getting better and our form there recently been poor. Hopefully Stoke will have an off day we need the 3 points badly.

Just think we missed the boat last month

Millwall Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday getting 2 points

we need a run hand on heart can only see a win at home to Reading end of January in the next couple of months

Wigan are also losing Dan Burn to Brighton in January aren’t they or was it a full season loan back?

Hope they do get Madine, it will take him until April to get fit the lazy bastard. I’d rather have any of their other strikers over him

I’d go with that. Magennis in for Donaldson, Pav in for Wilson (and Lowe into CM) would be my changes for Stoke. I’ve got a feeling that Taylor won’t make it though which could mean different changes.

Agree with pav for wilson

But not the other two

Lowe was one of the better players yesterday I'd keep changes to minimum and try and get a settled side

Think he might drop wheater for hops as he looked knackered

Ameobi and Taylor have to be doubts

I've seen enough of Williams and Lowe as a pair to last me a lifetime

I'd probably chance Lowe at left back and vela can come in if ameobi is out

But doidge has to start

Yes he's raw but if we do get a chance, there is some evidence he can score goals, so as long as the midfield is strong, he plays, for me

Probably first time I’ve ever agreed with you

Jason Lowe looks like a square peg in a round hole in central midfield. At right back he easily looks Championship standard. He also looked decent at left back when shifted across. Maybe they should keep Lowe at RB and see if Olkowski is any good as a holding midfielder!

Doidge finished a chance quite nicely in the second half that had been called back for offside. Small steps, but at least a sign that if we ever create a chance for him he might put it in the net.

If Ameobi is a doubt then he won’t play, I was massively surprised when he even came out for the 2nd half. If he doesn’t play we may as well go home and rest up for Hull.

I can’t see Taylor playing, it looked like a muscle injury which I can’t see being ok in 3 days, unless it was cramp.

To be honest switching Lowe back to centre mid was more about getting Wilson out of there, I’m not against Lowe continuining at full back and Vela coming in to centre mid. Plenty of legs with him and Williams in centre mid and O’Neill on the right.

Agree that Doidge has to keep playing, I wasn’t that impressed with him against Rotherham but I’ve just got this feeling that if you can keep him in the team then he’ll score goals (the finish after the foul shows that), I’m not having Donaldson though so Magennis would partner Doidge for me.

I’m having all them
