It did for the EU and now it's threatened the security of the continent.

Russia have form for this sort of stuff. And they didn't even need an excuse to do it. Back in the day the Russian empire was great and the politburo loved it. Putin is a throwback to the USSR days and he's showing his muscles. The west are weak and all they can do is implement sanctions. The Russians are more capable now. And the military are more professional than they were back in the cold war days.

They weren’t forced. Those nations asked to be part of NATO. They were all ex Soviet states. They preferred the protection of NATO rather than the threat of Russian expansion. You can now see why.

I personally think Britain should sit this one out, let all the other countries that haven’t seen much action over the decades have a crack at it, anytime there’s mention of a war or help is needed it’s us and the USA who are looked upon.
