Haha main takeaways are hard working, bit of pace. His stats are actually very well rounded.
I’m sure we can find other options just as good though

Plus hes been playing in the equivalent of the northern counties league.

these are Morley’s stats.

The individual stats are all out of 20 so Messi has 20 dribbling for example but only 9 strength

Assuming this is in relation to @Ani’s request for Morley’s equivalent stats?

Interesting that penalty taking is his best attribute - can’t remember ever seeing him take one!

Jesus h.   So does this mean Morley is good or not ?

For me, he would be in the bench if /when a midfielder is signed.    Tends to disapear in games to much, hes a young lad and learning his trade at a better level nowadays, he will improve his game I have no doubt.

They're well rounded for FM stats to be honest.

I'm sorry, sir.

Can we get Daniel Braaten back?

I raise you Michael Kaprillien & Enio Morricone or whatever he was called that we signed off the internet that missed the sitter at Chelsea to keep us up.

10 bonus points and a highly sought after No-Prize for you good sir .

Didn't he score against Leeds at the Reebok (header), ruled out and the ref couldn't say why after the game? Would have got us a point and ultimately kept us up unless my memory is shocking?

Aye it was a worse decision than the Everton one.

And while we're on the topic didn't Sellars score a legitimate goal in the home game against United that was ruled out? Everyone talks about the Everton game but there were some other awful decisions that season.

Add that to many missed opportunities that season.

Blake missed a 1-on-1 at Blackburn at 2-1 in the last minute. They went down the other end and scored a third.

Blake also missed an open goal at Leicester in a 0-0 draw. Not knocking him, he was great that season (according to my nine year old self that is).

Bob Taylor hit the bar from a yard out against Southampton (who we mullered but couldn’t score) that would’ve given us a win.

These are just off the top of my head. Certainly one nailed on pen that wasn’t given too (Cox & Wimbledon).

I know they say it all evens out, but I used to recite numerous occasions where we missed points because of refereeing decisions/missed chances that season.

Should never have gone down. Wouldn’t change a thing in hindsight for what the next decade brought.

Giallanza's ruled out goal in this as well. (Not actually shown, fix.)

Holdsworth having two disallowed early on at home to West Ham springs to mind. One of them with such a late flag that the players were celebrating, the seizure inducing goal graphics were on the screen and West Ham were virtually setting up to kick off again. My first season ticket that year so I remember every minute detail.

Getting beat 5-0 by Coventry at home and Sheff Weds away and not winning a game from December till March or summet daft like that relegated us, not all the other stuff.

I was fuming at that one, still swearing and cursing all the way to the car which seemed to be parked half way back to Darwen, fucking Jason Wilcox.

We went 1-0 up and it was 1-1 at half time

One thing I noticed when looking back at any footage from 97/98; Branagan had an awful season. Flapping about all over the place for some of the goals conceded.

I take your point but even with as shit as our results were in that run those 'lost' points would ultimately have kept us up comfortably. Maybe Everton had an equal amount of injustices heaped upon them that season, in which case fair enough but I doubt it.
