He's an absolute arsehole

Wigan going bust would mean he'd be out of a job because he'd have nothing to report on.

I'm all for it.

Still no countdown clock on Sky .

These @@@@s are getting off lightly

To be fair we were on our third hmrc winding up order by that point.

In effect injury time after the 90 mins.

These lot are 4 nil down after 20 mins. Loads of heartache and drama to go before they're put out of their misery yet.

There seems to be a lot of hope that one of the owners of the rugby side may bale them out.  The debt and running costs for a L1 side are so astronomical compared to egg chasing, you can see why he'd not bother.

However, if they did go pop (& sadly, I can't see that happening) the rugby club would potentially need to find a new ground.  I don't think they could afford to run the DW as sole owners.

You don't get to be a Billionaire by throwing good money after bad, they need to see the books, and after seeing the total debts I would be surprised if this rugby bloke baled them out, like as been said though the rugby would need a home so could that sway him to lead a consortium of money men, who knows, hope he runs a mile from them tw@ts though.

No way someone will buy them other than in admin. To much wages and debt.  Rugby guy always wanted stadium. He’s not arsed one bit about the football club. Only big Dave one leg could save them. But no way will the tight arse pay other people’s bills.

If that's the analogy you're running with, I hope they pull it back to 4-4 before losing to a blatantly offside goal in the 9th of a miminum 7 minutes added time.

Forgive me if I’ve missed it further back in this thread but if they hopefully go bust what happens to Wigan RL? The rugby side of things is too big in that place for them to have no home. Does hanging on their coat tails give them hope? Really hope not

But for balance I will say that the social media types are a breed of their own - and we can’t deny we have them too - some right knobheads. The bottom 2 there are scum of the earth.

But I know, I have spoke and worked with genuine folk from Wigan who are decent, nothing like the above. Good lad who works for the community trust is going to loose the job he loves this summer. I think some of these stories get lost with all the social media vitriol.

From a footballing perspective I don’t care too much for them and I’d love to wallop them on their way down. And then if they existed and hung around the lower leagues while we were competing at a different level above  I’d be quite happy.

Indeed. Twitter is a meeting place for morons. It is not a forum to make rational assessment of any clubs fan base. For every Wigan fan that posted vile anti-Bolton nonsense on twitter there will be hundreds who would have been embarrassed about it.

For just about every other club I'd agree but I think your ratio of one to hundreds in the case of this lot is massively over-exaggerated. Hating Bolton is in their DNA as much as supporting their own club.

I think you are right, same as Bury, it’s in the DNA of the clubs fans.

Them tweets just confirm they don’t merit my time/dislike.

They are so small time and have beef with an m62 sport team. I appreciate we are in boring season but this thread has taken me by surprise a bit.

It’s probably that they prefer to see us lose than Wigan win. Fuck ‘em.

Three years ago the whole of the DW was singing  “Boltons going bust” with such glee at every home game.

Small man syndrome.

Funny how things turn out eh?

Fuck ‘em, hurry up & die.

The genuine decent folk of Wigan do not support latics.

That guy you know might be a decent lad but he fucking hates Bolton.

It won't just be having jelly and ice cream if these men fold. I will get the cheese board out as well along with a massive glass of port

We should suggest a ground share with the rugby lot. Extra income for us whilst offering assistance in ending the other fuck wits. Happy to help.

🤣 excellent idea! They play in the summer, we'd get a few hundred grand in rental fees and the footy club would go pop.  Win win!
