most probably

and if so, no need and get em ona final warning

i have a much bigger problem with this sort of behaviour if its up close and personal

i would say, that i dont think it was this sort of stuff SB was on about

shes seemingly referring to shouts within the stadium but outside, which im wary of condemning so long as it doesnt cross the usual boundaries of decency

I'd hope the statement was in response to up close and personal

Because anything from the stands and a far is part of the game, always has been, always will be

I'd be embarrassed if they've come out to complain and discourage negative sentiments from within the crowd, unless, like you say, it crosses a line

So all this statement by being vague has done is that it seems to have clouded the issue of what seen by them as acceptable

I'm not sure there are any IE detractors or even people that out and out disagree with the way the team plays.

The facts are simple, our team is built around possession and counter attacking. The issue seems to be unlocking teams, who don't attack often and or attack inforce or who score first and defend their lead.

There's only one solution to this and it's the same one i said 2/3 months ago, we need someone to disrupt the way other teams play againt us. You can do this with a target man or a hard man in the middle of the park.

That's it.

I'm not sure the club and Evatt still fully appreciate the scale of fan disappointment with the manner of and result of the Wigan game.  We were humiliated by them at our gaff for the second game running.  Plus they all disappeared after the game.

It doesn't warrant personal abuse though (or at any time) and IE has more than enough credit in the bank for people to cut him some slack.  If chavs in corporate are giving him and Neil grief, tell them to do one as we don't want people like them around.

First para no one disagrees with the way we play ( that is not true there are loads - 'stop fancying Around at the back)

third para we need someone to disrupt the way other teams play...a target man or a hard man in the middle of the park - you have suggested how we should change the way we play !

The vast majority of our support backs Evatt but get frustrated by the team not progressing as quickly as they want. The stated aim this year was to improve and go straight up. If Evatt and FV set expectations they have to live with them

Does anyone think the squad has been improved enough to make much difference this year ? The response 'the league is not as strong'  is probably true but can not hide the fact the squad development last 2 windows has been limited.

I expected at least a couple of loan signings, they may still come. I agree with you about needing more in midfield be that a hard man/bastard/old head etc etc because at the moment irrespective of talent and skill within the squad when things start going wrong during a game we do not seem to have a plan B or just as relevant the patience and/or confidence to make Plan A work.

The Wigan perfomance pissed off a lot of our fans make no mistake.

Not heard any abuse hurled IE’s way though.

Perhaps I should have been clearer, the way we play would be basically the same, as in light press, possession, counter attacking football with triangle passing movements, that is the IE brand, it was the same under the old formation with wingers. The players i suggest, fit into this same system but offer something extra on top. I think our largest issue at the moment comes from how similar the 2 forwards and 2/3 midfielders are.

It's clear to me atleast they didn't get their first targets, and have had to essentially make do, with the hope that some of the signing will come good quickly. Otherwise the fact we've signed 6 outfield players only for 1 of them to be starting regularly just seems baffling.

I agree we need more steel in the middle to thwart their attacks but there are other issues when we have the ball too - the main one being is that when teams put us under pressure with a high press and physical players getting in our midfield's faces, we can't handle it and the neat passing and movement that gives us the possession you talk about goes to pot. It's one thing to play well when we have time and space to do so, but it's public knowledge that we can't play that well when they get at us. That's the difference between top quality midfielders who can find a way through a crowd and ours whose passes go astray and who turn over the ball when under pressure. The additional importance of that is that if they commit to a high press and we can find a way of beating the press quickly they won't have loads of players behind the ball so it creates openings for us. Unfortunately we can't afford midfielders who can break up their attacks and have the skill to beat the press and quickly set up ours.

Sharon's message wasn't just about evatt , which is what people seem to be concentrating on.

It's about respect . Against Wigan ,

outside the ground and under the ESL I heard songs about Charlie  Wyke . It was embarrassing and abusive . I don't think the cowards sang it in the seats as CCTV would pick them out .

Just saying

Well, no.

She specifically mentioned Neil Hart as well. Her lieutenant who follows her direction but gets dogs abuse for it. Insulting him is insulting her & she clearly wants it to cease. Plenty on here shot back at her for making a stand. Beware what you wish for.

Imagine getting in from work then going online and there being people on twitter, Facebook etc, analysing and criticizing everything you have done in the day , these people are not your peers they are just everyday Joe's with an opinion using social media as a soapbox.

If you try and engage with them you get dogs abuse . Abuse that often crosses the line and gets personal. Imagine if everyone you mentioned it to said it was just "bants" and it came with the turf.

Would you accept it and crack on, just because the job pays well or would you speak out and try and get it stopped.

It is a sad state of affairs that the club has had to issue such a statement and it would be great if we as fans could be relied on to self police. Unfortunately times have changed and that won't happen.

Sometimes you do need a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Brand Evatt is about to get another kick in the bollocks.

None of the 4.5 million quids worth of bond money has gone on his phone.  He's still using a 2210 by the looks of it.

Stupid daft bastard

It's not the first time he's done that. Barrow ways was full of talk about him being a ladies man
