Match day is finally here - always feels like a long time coming after a defeat.

With this league being so tight this season Im finding it nigh impossible to predict a comfortable win for us in any game - they all seem to be nervy affairs and Im expecting the same again today.

With the transfer window being just around the corner players sometimes drop off in form for whatever reason, so I’m hoping it’s theirs, not ours if that happens as we could do with a couple of wins today and Monday to keep us in the top six at the start of the New Year.

Last time we cruised to a truly comfortable win seems like an eternity ago so come on lads - give my nerves a rest for Xmas.

You know it’s just possible something like that could happen today. We’re all feeling a little nervy as it’s Rotherham but the players may be really up for this and if our luck turns for once we really could paste someone. Millers aren’t in great form at the moment, still have injury problems and defensively aren’t the best so who knows, today could just be our day?

Not to split hairs but we have 9 games in Jan, Lincoln have 6, Bradford, Cardiff and Wigan have 7, no name some.

Its the combination of being in the cup and the rearranged one at Stevenage that's done for us.

We could have played the Stevenage game and we were on a good run the manger was happy to call it off and he would have known it was probably going to be an Extra game in jan

Has to be 12 points over Xmas after last week or autos are over these are all win able games and if we have a good squad then rotation should play in to our hands . Otherwise we need a busy transfer window get shut of a lot of dead wood if possible

This really is the time now to kick on and get some momentum going.

I'd tend to agree there are 12 points there for the taking, and a healthy position moving into Jan. If we stumble and stagger through these 4 games with half a dozen points that Jan activity might be ratcheted up.

I think winning 4 games is a bit optimistic. I think 9-10 points is more reasonable.
