The penny dropped at Derby for me the players never put a tackle in never bust a gut to close down the opposition and it’s been pretty much the same in every game since. I’ll start giving a fuck when we have an owner who is in it for the club and not himself, players who play with a pride for the shirt and the town they represent, there seems to be a poor culture within our club over the last 6-7 years let’s clear the decks, rid ourselves of the last few big contracts and get in a disciplinarian manager who can reorganise a club from bottom to top and who knows what the club means to the Bolton public and get back to good solid basics and build from there. As I’m typing the one manager who springs to mind is Mick Mccarthy.

Yesterday was one of those days that'll go in to the list of all time shitfests along with Scarborough in 87/8 and the like. It's all been said above as regards the pathetic nature of the performance. I can't see us beating Forest because in our current form and mindset it's hard to see us beating anyone. I obviously dearly hope we do - the third tier of English football is no place for Bolton Wanderers. But there's no denying we'll deserve to be there.

You posted before the match on this thread that you had an awful feeling about the match because Burton have Darren Bent. So it's ok for you to post that other teams have better strikers than Bolton  but nobody else should?

If we go down it’s because we haven’t been good enough.

 

Speaking to tomski earlier....we have needed 4 points for 8 games and we haven’t managed it. We only have ourselves to blame.

I will be at the Macron Sunday just hoping for once these players will care about the fans and try and win they owe us that at least.

We started the game brightly but yet again the game was over after the 1st goal & we were never coming back.

 

We had no midfield player who could control & pass the ball, no striker who could hold the ball up or unsettle the defence, & though I thought Noone was our best player, Ameobi had one of his worst games for us when we really needed something special from him. Throwing forwards on - Barnsley style -  didn't help & in the end it could have been worse with Burton catching us on the break several times.

 

I didn't see it as a lack of effort but after the 1st goal it looked like a lack of any real belief that we could get back into it.....same as last week .

 

I half expected it but I'm still gutted.
