Future prem material for me.

Looks every bit a player on the up.

Athletic, height and comfortable with the ball.

Easy on the eye, and his running seems effortless.

We could do with going up!

Really reminds of Alonso. Looks to have a great future, wherever he ends up.

They played Evattball. Possession, pass it about, create nowt. Offered no threat whatsoever.

We were good today. Really good.

Simons is a proper player. He just keeps things ticking over. Does everything well, pass , tackle, just a proper footballer.

Sheehan looked good next to him aswell. Good to have options.

What a player Max Conway is going to be.

Wingers both causing problems, especially ACD who was excellent.

Burstow MOTM for me though. Proper number 9 performance and hot his goal.

Up the fucking whites

Said to the better half, very Evattesque, pretty pass about football, but did fuck all going forward, and created jack shit. Could be a long season for Plymouth.

Will avoid the analysis for now. After a long winless run at the end of 24/5 and last weekend it feels brilliant to get a good solid home win on the board. Really important also in the context of being dealt what looked like a tough first three games of the season.

Enjoy the evening everyone. A long season ahead ... but a different era now and prospects ahead.

Simons will be one of the best players in L1 this season, class above, a steal. Sheehan looked way better with him at his side, allowed to operate more like he does for Wales.

Although getting too giddy might not be advisable given how poor Plymouth were, there was so much to like and enjoy today, the 2nd goal everything SS wants us to be about

Very good win.

I was really impressed with our workrate throughout.

Second goal was a proper football goal  nothing fancy, just good quick passing and a forward doing a good job with the finish.

Room for improvement too I think and the clean sheet was important.

COYWM 😀

Perfect day for us. A goal for the new captain and that first one for Burstow will do him a lot of good. Thought Randall had a good game too.

Would definitely be interested to know what odds you can get on Plymouth going down again. Ran out of ideas five minutes into the second half and at 2-0 with half an hour to go they all but downed tools. Cleverly's fucked.

Very good that. And to be fair - I thought we were very good last week as well.

I don't know if anybody else has said the same thing as I've not read the thread - but they reminded me of us under Evatt. Easy on the eye at times but don't get anywhere.

Struggling to find anything to moan about tbh.

McAtee isn't a target man - that's about as close I could probably get.

Play like that every week and we'll have a good season. And I don't think we ever really got out of second gear either. Very good.

Yeah that looks like a cracking bit of business for us.

Great to come away from a game without any negatives.

A world away from last week, never mind last season. A triumph for efficiency and attacking intent over ball retention. Fancy Cozier-Duberry and Gale to be mesmerising and frustrating in equal measure over the season, but they could be the key to a serious promotion challenge if they can maintain this sort of form, especially at home.
