It's bonkers that we've known about this disease for over 6 months, and we still don't know much about it. Let's say we get rid of the virus overnight, those that have had it, are they going to be fucked if/when we get the next bad bout of seasonal flu? - i must admit, I'm still not 100%, so the thought of getting even a bad cold, never mind flu, is't filling me with joy

That degree in Classics from Balliol College is bang on what we need in a leader right now. He can decline the verb exculpate into Latin at the drop of a hat. What more do you want?! Thatcher, for example, would have been much cruder - she'd have attended all the COBRA meetings when it kicked off (more fool her) and used her science background (humbug!) to direct things and dangled any malcontents out of a Whitehall window by their codlings. We don't need that kind of thing now. What's needed now is someone with a lifelong vision; someone who (far left in the pic) told his sister he wanted to be "King of the world" and indicated his prowess from an early age. Remember Aristotle's quote (which Boris can probably deliver in perfect ancient Greek) that started that 7-Up series on ITV ages back: "Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man".
