  1. I'm not sure there was an expectancy of Simons as such, it's just that he was so impressive early on. His form fell off a cliff, but that early form showed there is a very good player in there. Definitely not one to be written off.
  2. Not bothered who we get or when. Think it’s our time.
  3. In an ideal World we would have gone up and id like to have feet up watching Stockport, Bradford, Plymouth & Luton battle it out . My personal preference would be Stevenage over 2 legs and anybody at Wembley . feels a bit strange hoping for a particular opponent , especially as in the past Ive wanted to meet Tranmere, Oxford, Villa , Watford, Middlesboro & Stoke in showpiece games.
  4. Thanks for the support guys. I am mega proud of myself right now.
  5. I expected you to defend and deflect from their actions. Inevitable. Imagine after an Islamist attack folk saying - "well it's the 'establishments' fault for getting involved in wars on terror abroad"... "it was Lee Rigby's fault for being a soldier". Your deflection is a similar level of nonsense. It's quite clear the blame lies with the racist bigots who stirred the shit and carried out the attacks in Epsom. Nobody else. The way you ramble on about the 'Establisment' makes you sound like you've gone down a right wormhole online. People trafficking and mass migration is a problem all over the world. I've spoken countless times about the need to get tougher and stop the arrival of unvetted migrants. But we need immigration, & it has done more good than bad for this country. It hasn't been forced on the population - folk have voted for decades for pro immigration parties. There is a growing movement in this country using terms like the 'great replacement' and talking about remigration of British citizens. People who think they're defending our country by attacking immigrants. If you don't see them as a problem, then you're part of it. There is no denying that a lot of racists have come out of the woodwork in recent times. And you won't find me defending them because we've not grasped the situation in the channel. It's a threat and it needs addressing - just like the boats do.

I've not minded these weekends when FA Cup has largely been hidden away and there's been a focus on SPL title race, exciting stuff, febrile atmospheres, madcap drama and entertainment at times. Noise at Easter Rd yesterday, even coming through the telly, was something else.

    Not a bad squad that
  9. Whatever happens we need those clacker things back for the home semi.
  10. Rodrigues is ace. Works incredibly hard for a ‘flair’ player. Thinks he’s a missing ingredient

Just got home now. My pre match preparations of only getting home from Bradford at midnight after being kidnapped in Sowerby Bridge by @BOWTUN BAKED probably wasn’t the smartest move, on reflection 😴

Hearts would. It's all irrelevant, because if they were in the championship they would attract better players. It's an incredible title race with so many twists and turns. Who gives a shit if some in the league are league one standard.
  13. Saw lads draped in England fans chucking stuff in the window and tearing out the curtains. One of them shouting "there's fucking immigrants in there". Disgrace to the country. Give me a street of immigrants over these brainwashed thick fucks any day of the week.
  14. Some of us will never use Vodafone.
  15. I've still got ours from last time, because I'm a sad cunt.
  16. Agree, he has really settled now and starting to shine. I would be interested to see how his distance covered stats compared with others as he was popping up all over the pitch. Even late on we lost the ball near there box, and he had been involved, next thing he is the one covering in our box. Best box to box midfielder we have had in years, perhaps what we thought/hoped Simons would be, but hasn't delivered

  18. The reality is we could face any one of the other 5 teams, by finishing 3/4/5th But good fun nevertheless having a guessing game. I’m hoping it’s Bolton, Stockport, Bradford and Stevenage in that order. Stockport or Bradford at Wembley But as @krimzon says all those we lost against above we could/should have beat! The thing that makes this lineup appealing, but consequently could also be our undoing, is that those other 3 sides are all over-achieving, and winning a play-off final and going up to the championship is beyond their expectations. Stockport are the out-lier here, having over achieved last year. But still it would be a massive bonus for them. For us, we lose we’ve under-achieved. Failure is despondency. It’s been our expectation now for at least 3 seasons. It could go either way for us, but I actually think that makes us favourites and dangerous opponents. Probably why I’m a bit more wary of an in-form Plymouth or Luton. But fuck it..we’ll do it this year. These late goals, late drama, never say die attitude, big crowds, exciting players are all finally going to make a difference.

The Cage was really good last night, drama set in Liverpool, written by Tony Schumacher, who wrote The Responder. Similar feel though a different storyline. If you liked that you'll probably like this.
  21. Bob Mortimer is better fisherman than you 😀
  22. He looks a good un. Didn't realise he was a permanent signing assumed he was on loan!
  23. After Wootton who has 19 the next highest goal scorer is Norwood with 7.......Wootton will be playing centre half alongside a nineteen year old winger. Olaofe,,,,,You say regular goals and assists he has one each. Diamond last few games on the bench. Mothersille 2 goals, Stokes 4 goals, Sidebe 5 goals....As i say lets not big them up because they get have had the better of us the last few times we have met.......Would we be wary of Wigan though that monkey is no longer on our back

  27. inspiring stuff over the last couple of weekends with manchester and london marathons offically out of retirement, in the ballot for london and also applied for charity rome / paris as backups
  28. In Epsom on Saturday, a woman fell over, but I'm wearing a crucifix to signify that I'm a Christian not a racist.
  29. I watched Bolton beat Luton 4-2 in 1970, Terry Wharton hatrick, including 2 penalties, 1st or 2nd home game of the season, ended up relegated for the 1st time to the old 3rd division. Thats my first recollection of Luton.
  30. I think it's London, Berlin, Chicago,New York,Tokyo and Boston Although why a shitty town in Lincolnshire is one of them, I really don't know

Some of those on the Bolton end at Southampton in 1992 will have enjoyed them getting wildly excited about a late FA Cup goal but losing
  38. Earlier in the season, Gale was doing well, and Cissoko was getting absolute pelters. Flavour of the month. Whoever gets in simply has to deliver from now on in.

It's a good effort to find something to moan about at the most popular comedian in the country choosing to do a run of shows in Bolton, exclusively for people who live in the town with all profits going to the local hospice.
  45. Not true I give you "our" PPE scandals during COVID.....
  46. Agreed a real danger of this. I retain hope and faith though (just) that (1) not as many UK voters are as gullible as US voters and also (2) there is still enough independent UK investigative journalism to call out the hypocrisy and lies of Reform/Restore.
  47. It's coming to the UK soon, and a large portion of the electorate will celebrate it.
