An interesting question. As things stand, are we "allowed" to play in the league, with administrators running things and players not yet paid?

I've no real concern about the EFL being arsed about numbers yet, Blackpool were in similar position a few years back https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014–15_Blackpool_F.C._season They at least had owners though, that's where my concern would lie, but still hopeful it's going to be this week. Could be a 22 team league at this rate.

I would expect that if we ask for the first match to be postponed as we can't field a team that we would be given until the end of the month to come good or fold.

Only update we need is when the deal is done or if, god forbid, the preferred bidders walk away. Anything else pretty much is just fluff. Understand the anxiety about wanting to get the deal done but updates won't make it any quicker.

There's always time for an article from Iles saying 'breakthrough in negotiations' probably on Thursday.
