MancWanderer
Did I hear right earlier that one of those involved in the Burnley takeover was involved at Charlton?
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted October 28, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted October 28, 2020 I’d be a bit worried if I was a tutter, how can folk with not the clout to buy Charlton then go and get a premier league club? Something doesn’t ring true with it

Great track record. From the BBC The Cheshire-based lawyer was handed a ban after issues arose during an attempt to buy Charlton earlier this year. Farnell subsequently appealed against the decision and the ban was withdrawn, although he did serve a five-week disqualification period which ended on 14 September. Farnell was previously involved in talks over the future of Bury and was briefly a director at Wigan.
MancWanderer
Football’s dead. Unless you’re one of the really big clubs there’s basically sharks circling to milk your club dry. £200M for Burnley? Let me guess how much anyone will put in vs what they will take out
leigh white
I laughed when John Bond was at Burnley, he sold Trevor Steven, Lee Dixon and Brian Laws for fuck all, he was more hated than Owen Coyle.

paulhanley
Ah. Developments on one of my favourite threads. Any further progress on the road to ruin for these cunts? Sixth from bottom of League One seems to have taken a lot of their bluster. Every single time in their "history" they have sniffed a chance to lord it over us it has all gone wrong for them. And has again. Edited October 29, 2020 by paulhanley

The way Wiggin fans see it is this ,they think their 2013 FA cup final win trumps anything we’ve ever achieved, because it’s more recent.
