I'd fancy myself as a sniper. First, because snipers are cool, and second, because it'd keep my cowardly backside away from the nitty gritty of face-to-face combat.

(On a serious note I'd like to think I would. I'd be fucking terrified but ultimately I'd hate myself for the rest of my life if I just ran away.)

I'd be taking up arms if need be and my family were at risk, however I'd be distancing myself from the front line for 2 reasons..

a) I'm a fat git and so not really hard target

b) I wasn't "good" enough when I was skinny for the army and subsequently rejected. So be a bit odd that 18 years later I am 😛

It's inevitable that Russia will take Ukraine, but I do think they are going to get a bloody nose in the process.

If your life depended on it I'm pretty sure most would take action defending themselves, family and country.

I'd be disappointed or dead if the number was under 75%

Think the figures for WWII ended up being less than 50% who served were volunteers here so would expect it to be lower than that these days.

I couldn’t have told you the Ukrainian presidents name until a couple of weeks ago. But, the more I read about him and the more I see of him staying to defend his city despite an almost certain capture, you can’t help but admire the bloke.

A few years ago he was telling jokes about tits and fannies on Ukrainian TV, and has since been democratically voted in as leader.

Now, he could probably go into hiding, issue encouraging speeches from a bunker. But the (possibly slightly) mad cunt is stood a few miles away from Russian guns and defying Putin.

I hope to god he stays alive. Must be inspiring as fuck to a defending army when the leader is stood next to you.
