Lostock Whites Posted January 16 Share Posted January 16 We were fantastic in that 2nd half, if you didn't know you would have thought it was a competitive match between 2 league rivals, not a League 1 side against a Premier League side. Also partially content that we're out of the cup to help our promotion push for the rest of the season and fixture congestion. But we can take a lot from that performance going forward. I think we will thrive in the Championship and above with Evatt at the helm, he just might know what he's doing that man. But for now, let's get out of this horrible league, it's going to take a lot more skill and ability, but also just as much of doing the ugly side of things at small, tight pitches. Onto Leyton Orient now on Saturday who will certainly ask us to do the following in order to beat them. Johnnyrotten Posted January 16 Share Posted January 16 Superb night's entertainment, can't remember the last end to end game like that full of chances and shots on goal by both sides. A breath of fresh air to play a team that wanted to come at us, I'd forgotten what it was like to play on the break a few times instead of always against a blanket defence. Best I've seen Vic play, superb. Tomo outstanding as everyone has said, and Sheehan in the 2nd half looked every inch championship quality. Maghoma too, superb 2nd half. I was worried he was going the same way as Shoretire, bright start then trailing off but I thought he was very good tonight in a midfield that was excellent all round.
