Not to bothered if baka goes but if it’s to sell then to being in a lad on loan from Southampton till the summer doesn’t seem much of a up grade . Hopefully we have something else lined up

Says we have the option to buy in the summer

Getting a bloke on loan from a prem club seems great at first, but given they may well end up in the championship yet saying we can sign him in the summer suggests that maybe they don't really rate him that much

His goalscoring record is uninspiring but if Evatt and Markham have spotted something in him we'll have to trust their judgement.

Dapo failed with two loan spells in the fourth tier before signing with us (amd also failed while on trial at Wigan Athletic) and by all accounts Trafford looked a poor prospect on loan at Accrington Stanley.

Exactly Aldo, nobody knows for certain how any player will do. Strikers who’ve done brilliantly fail elsewhere, look at Jordan Rhodes now back on form at Huddersfield. I’ll leave it to IE to decide who comes in I’m sure he wouldn’t sign them if he didn’t think they were better than what we have.

Seems we want a try before you buy situation

Baka is out of contract at the end of the season and clearly any plans to extend beyond that are slim if we’re willing to accept money for him now. So whether a player is ours for 6 months or on loan is irrelevant really

If anything, a player on loan with an option to buy if successful strengthens our position as we already have a possible replacement there

Good point.

I can’t see the point in selling Baka & getting this kid on loan from Southampton.

Barring injury, Baka’s more than likely going to be used as a sub - and he’s more than  capable of getting a late goal or 2.

This N’Lulululu isn’t a cert to bag a few.

Evatt obviously thinks this other lad is better than Baka.

Evert and team have proven to be a good judge of a player while they have been at the club so far. They must think the other forward can offer more than Baka. Another forward with pace might be just what we need. In Evert we trust. Let’s hope he can uncover a few gems to kick us on again

Baka might not be going anywhere. None of the incoming bids have met our valuation yet...

I think Baka would bag a load in L2, he was a very effective poacher last season but a lot of fans expected somebody more physical for a striker of his size. This season he just seems to have digressed & hasn't took his chance when starting saying that I thought he looked at his best when on the pitch with Bod they looked to have some chemistry between them. Regarding Nlundulu the fans who've watched him on loan at their clubs the past few seasons haven't had many good things to say about him, mainly he can't be arsed running & instead will be seen with his head down moaning all game at his teammates. If our guys have scouted him, see something they like then fair enough take him on loan with the option of permanent like we did Dapo if he impresses. That Macaulay Bonne who we nearly signed last summer during deadline day has been made available again for L1 clubs so maybe that might pop up again too
