auckland_bwfc
Simple enough, give me yours? For me? And it's probably just a timing thing of when I started watching whites, is Nathan Blake! We've certainly had better players since but to me the guy was just top dog simply cos he bagged a loada goals when I first started watching us. 2nd is Youri for being a rolls Royce, and third.... mmmmmm Campo! Site Supporter Cheese Posted September 12, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2023 McGinlay was the first player I idolised as a kid, but Gudni is my favourite of all time. Oozed class and was consistent as fuck. Probably a rose-tinted view, but don't remember him ever having a bad game. Bumped into him on Middlebrook the day before the Play-Off final against Preston and he was a proper nice bloke too.

Eddie
Frandsen - my idol growing up, got to meet him a few times and it was like meeting God. Whenever I see clips of him pop up on twitter etc. it just proves that he was actually as good as I remember he was - a complete midfielder. royal white
Favourite was between SJM and SKD, nothing between them. Best since I’ve been watching them. Anelka
Dr. Feelgood
Best would be from Hiero, Djorkaev, Cahill, Reid, Worthington, Frannie Lee, Anelka, Gudni, Okocha. Favourite ... has to be Campo. I utterly adored the man. Edited September 12, 2023 by Dr. Feelgood fckg forgot JJ. 🫣

Didledee
Okocha - most talented, skillful and entertaining player I've ever seen for Bolton, no player as given me the joy he gave me, he made me smile and laugh when he used to dribble and pull out his showboating. 2nd Youri. Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted September 12, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2023 Frankie was my idol when I was younger but to throw another one in there from my youth.... Peter Thompson, absolutely unplayable at times, a joy to watch & an absolute gent too.
Leyther_Matt
Watching Okocha and Djorkaeff was an absolute privilege, but neither of them come close to SJM.

Mine too. As a kid I absolutely idolised him. He briefly lived on the street next to us with his club Lada on the drive! In later years I had a man crush on both McGinlay and Bergsson. Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted September 12, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2023 Impossible to pick. Trying to think who gave me the most pleasure watching us. It's a toss up between SJM and Okocha. Andy Walker and Frankie close seconds but didn't seem to be here that long.

I reckon he was taken for granted just because how reliable he was .a beast. Hair cuts aside Dempsey is from the same mould, albeit he doesn't have that pile-driver shot Per had
athywhite1958
A difficult choice, has to be an older player for me, JB worth the entrance fee and then we had Frankie, we were spoiled
